NHS Canterbury and Coastal Clinical Commissioning Group (CCCCG)
NHS Canterbury and Coastal Clinical Commissioning Group (CCCCG) is made up of local GPs and other health professionals representing 22 practices across the Canterbury district, Faversham, Whitstable, Herne Bay, Sandwich, Ash and the surrounding rural areas. The group is responsible for commissioning of services for the Canterbury and Coastal District. For further information on the CCG please access their website.
Canterbury & Coastal CCG has organised itself into so-called "Town Teams" Hence practices in the Canterbury locality are grouped together in a Town Team, likewise those centering around Faversham, and so on. For those of us in the Ash/ Sandwich area, we have joined together to form the Ash / Sandwich Town Team. This comprises the surgeries of Ash, Market Place and The Butchery. It is hoped that this subdivision will help us to concentrate on matters which are more local / specific to our area and population.
Canterbury and Coastal CCG make occasional media releases, which usually contain both local and topical information for patients and carers. When they are of particular interest, we will aim to post them on this website for viewing. They can all be found on the CCG website noted above.
